Ellen is a Doctor of Acupuncture in Rhode Island, D.Ac., a Doctor of Oriental Medicine in New Mexico, DOM., and Acupuncture Physician, AP., and Doctor of Oriental Medicine DOM., in Florida. She holds an RN license in Massachusetts and a license to practice Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine under the auspices of the Massachusetts Board of Medicine through the Committee on Acupuncture. Ellen obtained certification by passing the certification exam of the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture to qualify for these state licensures listed above.

She is a graduate of the New England School of Acupuncture and the University of Massachusetts, School of Nursing (BS) in Amherst, MA.

She also holds a Masters Degree in Nursing from the Boston College Connell School of Nursing.
