Improvised Raincoats
One day last fall when we were really busy with Oktoberfests, we left the house early in the morning to play in Weymouth, then we had a gig in Quincy in the afternoon and then one in Boston at night. We neglected to check the weather and were caught in a torrential rain. Our client in Weymouth supplied us with plastic bags which we fashioned into raincoats to get us through the day. Thank you, Susan!

Ludwig and Auntie Hilda test the strength of the ladies at Julytoberfest in Paxton.
The Masskrugstemmen Contest is a typical Oktoberfest Activity (AKA The Stein Hoist) to see how long one can hold a 1 Liter stein of beer parallel to the ground with arm straight. Of course, being a family friendly band, we filled the steins with water. These ladies were such good sports and strong too.

Jan Borelli, as the Easter Bunny, making a new friend. This child was petrified of the bunny at the mall, but soon warmed up to me when she met me at her home. How adorable is this?
