Jan's Marching Band

Some of our band members have played parades for many years, but for some this is their first year as marchers, so they will be fondly regarded as rookies for a while. Lou and I have marched in -20 degree weather with a strong wind, and we have marched in rain, sleet, snow, thunderstorms and 100 degree weather. But I love a parade, always have. It's especially important to pay tribute to our veterans. I notice some people in the audience always cry when we play "The Star Spangled Banner". Marching through the cemeteries is a very humbling experience. The twenty one gun salute and Taps is a very emotional time.

Now that we have sufficient experience, marching band music and uniforms, we are ready to play for more parades, so keep "Jan's Marching Band" in mind for holidays, town celebrations and festivals. We have three marching bands ready to go! We even have Santa and Mrs. Claus available for a Christmas Parade!!
