Tips and Tweaks from the Pro Shop:
A great combo exercise for the athlete/client that has occasional or chronic back pain but still wants to target lower body. Also a great exercise for those who have knee problems. Notice in the video the athlete/client has a wide stance and feet are forward and is also leaning back into the ball. Primary target is the legs, butt and biceps. Because of the wide stance the inner thighs are targeted. Notice the momentary second pause at the bottom position, this takes the momentum out and works the athlete/client in a stretch position before a contraction. Secondary benefits are the core and metabolic factors, the female athlete is working with a medium weight, challenging enough to work her lower and upper body, but also burn fat since she is working intensely, yet with perfect form.
